All I Want For Christmas (Hallmark, 2007)
"What I really want is to skip this, go to a diner, and get some pancakes…"
Starring: Gail O’Grady, Robert Mailhouse, Jimmy Pinchak, Greg Germann
Plot Summary: To grant her son Jesse’s Christmas wish for a new dad, Sarah Armstrong reluctantly agrees to go on a succession of dates as part of a nationally sponsored contest. But when Sara unexpectedly gets charmed by the contest’s appointed chaperone, Jesse has to work extra hard to make his own wish come true. Because the young boy already has a dad picked out. (x)
In My Humble Opinion: This film was a poorly paced, gigantic bore. It was like even though they tried to fit everything in they possibly could for the 90 minute run-time, they still could not manage to get me interested. It took me 4 attempts to make it all the way through, and I highly recommend you do don’t do the same to yourself. It’ was definitely one of the biggest bummers I’ve encountered through this project thus far.
Watch If: You love eating pancakes late at a night on your dates, you are a big fan of ridiculous Kay’s product placements, or if you love bowling.
Skip If: You hate the Boy Scouts, you don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to be Cinderella, or if you can’t bear to see a $250,000 wedding dress ruined.
